Day 2: Keep things neatly piled – 5 uses for inexpensive closet dividers
Take a look around your home, open closets and cupboards – what’s spilling over that should be stacked up? Could you use one of these handy closet dividers to take control of the situation?
If you’re not sure the dividers are a good choice for you – try creating your own using a few cardboard boxes.
Find boxes that are the right size and shape. Remove the lid or top flaps, tip the box on its side, and Voila! You’ve got vertical dividers.
Here are a few places to look for things that could be more organized with one of these vertical dividers.
- Sweaters/clothes in your closet
- Linen closet – towels, sheets or other linen
- 12×12 Binders
- Books or magazines
Dividers or Divider Boxes – can help you organized anything that has a tendency to fall over/over flow – think of them like bookends.
Start with something messy – like this sweater shelf.
Add a few dividers
Or try the box method. Find a box or 2,3,4… remove the lid or top flaps.
Turn it on it’s side and load it up. You can use the space between a couple of boxes too.
Here’s a peek at where you’ll find vertical dividers in my house…the pantry, the game closet (my husband’s map books, and notebooks are there too) and of course in my craft room.
